1. Overview
Papaya Enterprises LLC (DBA Latin America Sourcing, "we," "us," or "our") operates latinamericasourcing.com and quotesagent.com (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to Buyers, Suppliers, and visitors to our Services.
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
2. Information We Collect
Account and profile information. When you register as a Buyer or Supplier, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and — for Suppliers — business details such as tax ID, product categories, and company address.
Transaction and business information. We collect the details of sourcing requests, quotes, samples, orders, and communications exchanged through the platform, including pricing, volumes, specifications, and shipping information.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number on our own servers — Stripe handles that directly and shares with us only what's needed to manage your subscription (such as your plan status and a reference token).
Usage and device information. We automatically collect information about how you use the Services — pages visited, features used, browser and device type, IP address, and referring URLs.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and comparable technologies for core site functionality, analytics, and advertising, described further in Section 5.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Match Buyers with Suppliers and facilitate quotes, samples, and orders
- Process subscription payments and manage billing
- Communicate with you about your account, requests, or quotes
- Provide customer support
- Send product updates and, where you haven't opted out, marketing communications
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the Services
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:
Service providers who help us operate the platform:
- Supabase — our database and file storage infrastructure, hosting the information described in Section 2.
- Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.
- Resend — sending transactional and account-related emails.
- Airtable — our internal CRM, used by our team to manage buyer and supplier relationships. A subset of your account and transaction information is mirrored here for internal operations.
Other Buyers and Suppliers, when necessary to facilitate a transaction. For example, if you submit a sourcing request, relevant details are shared with Suppliers we match you with, and vice versa.
Analytics and advertising partners:
- Google Ads — for measuring the performance of our advertising campaigns.
- Contentsquare — for session recording and behavioral analytics, helping us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. This may include recording mouse movements, clicks, and page navigation. Contentsquare is configured to mask sensitive form fields (such as passwords) by default.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Papaya Enterprises LLC, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify you if this happens and your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential functionality — keeping you logged in, remembering your preferences, and enabling core features.
- Analytics — understanding how visitors use the Services (via Contentsquare and similar tools) so we can improve them.
- Advertising — measuring and optimizing our Google Ads campaigns.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect the functionality of the Services.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may retain certain information for longer where required for legitimate business purposes — such as maintaining transaction records, resolving disputes, or complying with legal obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymized.
7. Your Choices
Marketing emails. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those emails. You'll continue to receive transactional and account-related emails necessary for the Services (such as order confirmations or password resets).
Account information. You can review and update most of your account information directly within your account settings.
Access, correction, or deletion. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe, though we may need to retain certain information as described in Section 6 or where required by law.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
9. International Data
Our Services connect Buyers and Suppliers across the United States and Latin America. As a result, information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than the one in which you're located, including the United States. By using the Services, you consent to this transfer.
10. Children's Privacy
The Services are intended for business use by adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date below and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Your continued use of the Services after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
